LOOK: Chelsea Manalo walks the runway in Cannes

Chelsea Manalo embodied elegance as she graced the fashion show runway of Filipino designer Michael Cinco in Cannes, France.
Manalo, who holds the Miss Universe Asia title, looked radiant along with her fellow continental queens, Miss Universe Americas Tatiana Calmell and Miss Universe Europe and Middle East Matilda Wirtavouri, in shimmering creations by Cinco.
“In the heart of Cannes, our Continental Queens lit up the runway for Michael Cinco at the iconic Carlton Hotel,” the pageant organization said on its Instagram page on Thursday, May 22, showing clips from the fashion event.
“The evening continued with a heartfelt charity gala by Fashion Closet, where the legendary [Osmel Sousa] was honored for 50 extraordinary years of shaping the legacy of Miss Universe,” it added.

Manalo described the opportunity to walk the runway as a “dream come true.”
“Walked in Cannes! We made it for the amazing Michael Cinco, and what a dream it is to be in this beautiful city. First time and I am ready to experience this journey once again,” she said on her Instagram page. “Busy but glad I’m doing this with my ate Tatiana and Matilda.”
“What a dream come true,” she concluded.

In a separate post, Manalo showed the venue of the Cannes Film Festival, although it was not immediately known if she would attend the event.
Aside from Manalo, Calmell and Wirtavouri, the continental queens also include Miss Universe Africa and Oceania Chidimma Adetshina, who was not seen in the Cannes fashion event. /ra
